Series LCR Circuit - Connecting Voltage Graphs and Phasor Diagram

This animation shows the connection between the time-varying voltages in a series LCR circuit and a set of rotating voltage phasors used in analysing the circuit. Refer to the "LCR Circuit Calculator" simulation to determine voltages from L, C and R values and an AC generator voltage, VS, with a frequency, f.

Enter resistor, capacitor and inductor voltage values and click the 'Draw Phasors' button to draw a phasor diagram. Both the source voltage, VS, (the vector sum of the three voltages) and the phase angle, ø, are calculated and displayed below.

Choose an animation speed and then click the 'Go' button to rotate the phasors and draw a graph of voltages against time.

The 'Stop' and 'Reset' buttons do what you would expect.
